Professional Employer Organization
With this co-employment option, payroll wages and taxes are reported under Doherty’s tax ID numbers. This solution allows Doherty to sponsor employee benefit plans and provide workers’ compensation insurance coverage for your employees. The PEO solution also relieves you of liability for payroll tax deposits and reporting, unemployment claims and workers’ compensation claims (when coverage is provided through Doherty). In addition, Doherty provides guidance regarding employment practices, and will take over the administrative burden of personnel management (HR) and benefits while you continue to supervise employees in the workplace.
Administrative Services Outsourcing
With this option, you receive human resource management services, benefits administration and payroll processing services, with wages and payroll taxes reported by Doherty under your company’s tax ID number(s). Since you continue as the sole employer, you also continue to select your employee benefit plans and workers’ compensation insurance. However, Doherty takes on the administrative burden of managing your benefit plans and will consult with you on workplace safety, workers’ compensation issues and unemployment claims management.

With the HR Navigator arrangement, we customize a program of human resource consulting and training services based upon an in-depth needs analysis.
